The meaning of the messages is the following:

IPO-51 Interruption in communication (loop) between motors and interpolator
VMI-2040 Peripheral interference regarding the function -watch dog-

I would start by checking all connections....

If you have a PEC-16 board (depends on production year, older progress machines) then check the fiber optic connection towards the IMC motor control boards.
