    Default Brother HS-70A 2005

    Hi All,

Hoping someone would know a source for the powder brake on the tensioner pully.

Charmilles refuses to support these machines, even though they sold it to me in '05

    Ogura Model #OPB-10N-07 DC-24v

    Any contact for Brother parts?

    Thanks!
    Steve

    Steve,
    Been there, done that.
    Ogura Model #OPB-10N-07 DC-24v with S/N
The manufacture recognizes this number as a PROPRIETORY number and will not sale retail.

I've been successful replacing the bearings as long as the shaft has not been damage by a seized bearing.
Start with a clean work area. A small pencil magnet can help recover spilled magnetic powder!

I hope you can get it running again.

    Regards,
    John

That seriously piss poor attitude of Charmilles is primarily why I have not, nor will I ever buy anything from them.

With that said, I may offer a small piece of help.
You can broaden you search for used parts, as all HS3100, 3600, 5100 and 50A machines use the very same powder brake.
Never seen the 70A so the complete assembly might be different, but if the above number you've listed is correct, then the powder brake unit itself is identical.

I bought my HS-300 from a gentleman on eBay and I know he has some parts Brothers. This is one of his listings.

He might be able to help you
