EDM Hole Popper

Hi everybody... Does anyone have experience with Titan EDM hole poppers? We were about to get a Drill 20 from GF but someone recommended the Titan machine. I never heard of them so was just curious if anyone has used one and can give some feed back on them?

Drill 20 is a nice machine. do you have wire EDM? if so, what make model? how small of a hole do you need to go down to?

We have 3 Sodick wires. We currently have a charmilles HD-30 hole popper. It has been a great machine for us just, its getting old and parts are getting hard to get. We use it for WEDM start holes and occasionally to burn out a broken drill or tap.

We do .020", .030", .040" and .060" holes. nothing critical.

does your sodick use G92 to set reference at the start of every shape in your program? if so, Drill 20 will use it to create drill points so you only need one program for both wire and drill.

I recommend the Drill 20. It is really simple to program. If you have a G92 program as Agieman said you just load it in the machineand all your points are there. Its real convenient. As for the size of the holes being hole popped, this machine goes circles around the old dinosaur we did have.
