Cleaning up found a pile of copper marked
elkonite 10W3 anybody know about it?
Also a few tubes of what look like TIG
Tungsten I know Mike never had TIG so
Is it possible he was using on the sinker

We use Tungsten electrodes for EDM Drill and Sinker. Especially when we have deep holes under .008 diam. Then Tungsten electrodes make you look like a hero all the way down to .001. Ive heard of shops doing even smaller work. Also good wear characteristics compared to graphite. Even better than Tel-co in my experience.

Elkonite® 10W3 material is used for electrode and die inserts in most flash and butt welding dies and for projection welding dies where welding pressures are moderate. It is also used for light electrical upsetting, electro-forging dies and seam welder brushing inserts.
It is 70% tungsten and 30% copper can be used as an electrode mainly for machining carbide.
