Question:
What do you set the K (conductivity) value on Agie Wire machine?

I have a Agie Classic 3. Got it used less than a year ago. The K was set to 10.
K can be set to values from 1-200 with 1 = 1uS/cm.

Reason for question:
I changed my resin at the beginning of a job.
At the beginning of the cut my K was around 27. As the job progressed the K value was slowly returning to a normal setting of 10. As the K dropped I began to have wire breaks and had to lower the power settings, thus slower cut rate.
Not sure if it was related or coincidence.
Has anyone experimented with this setting?
I was cutting mild Steel with no changes in height or flush.

I'm posting the answer to my own question just in case anyone is interested.
A world famous Agie man saw this post and gave me this explanation.

A K value of 10 allows the machine to hold tolerances in the tenths. This keeps the conductivity low so the spark is controlled better. It also means the wire has to be closer to the work. Being closer to the work can lead to more wire breaks. A higher K value of 20 to 25 can hold tolerances to .0005 with less wire breaks.

At my Aggie Cut20P i have K value at 5. This was the dafult value when i recived the machine and also my trainer told me to keep it at 5. But he didn't gave me any explanation.
