    Default learning about ram EDM?

I've read a few articles and bought a couple books with sections about ram EDM. I understand the way it works and the basics. What I am not finding is information on old EDM equipment, manufacturers, basic actual set-up on any given ram EDM. Does anybody know of tutorials, articles or books which cover "How to use your ram EDM". I have also seen some references to EDM which use an electrode which moves in X/Y axis but is not a wirefeed. Just references.
Basically, I am looking at the machines themselves and operator manual level information. Other than sales brochures, I'm not finding much. I doubt I will have a need for one of these anytime in the foreseeable future, they just interest me. Even the names of the manufacturers you'd look for in old equipment would be a big help. Who is the EDM equivalent of a Bridgeport mill?

Do a google search for "Charmilles sinker edm". They are the oldest sinkers that I know of.

    Hi CaptnBlynd:
Here's a link to Bud Guitrau's EDM handbook for sale on Amazon.
It's the best general learning book I've ever found on the subject.

Kids . . . Old edm = ELOX. Just like Bridgeport, the name Elox meant EDM.
