Meaning of M90 and M91

I've recently started using an Accutex wire EDM machine, and the post processor we use in MasterCAM adds in a M90 near the start of each program, and an M92 near the end. I can't find these commands documented anywhere in the (limited) machine manuals we've got, and I couldn't turn anything up by Googling (no one at the shop seems to know, either).

Does anyone know what these commands do? Should I put them in any gcode I write by hand, or can I omit them?

On the Mitsubishi FX10 I run M90 turns on the "adaptive cut control" M91 turns it off.

I second this.

The post processer from ESPRIT -> Mitsubishi outputs an M91 for positioning moves. For instance, if I programmed the machine to move F25.0 with the M90 active, the feedrate would max out a little past F2. (max speed of the adaptive cut control). If i program F25 M91, the machine will move F25.

With that being said, I occasionally use an M91 to lock my feedrate when cutting difficult materials.

Thanks, both of you. That does appear to be exactly what they do. :)

I was mistaken in my first post -- it's an M91, not an M92, as kenton said.
