did anyone else notice a much slower removal rate when sinker EDM-ing a stainless steel workpiece.
is it normal or am i doing something wrong?

I've never seen any difference in stainless versus other types of steel. With carbide and ferrro tic things slow way down, but as long as you have good flush, most steel is pretty consistent.

I work with stainless here and there, I find it burns dirtier if I had to describe it. Inconsistent finishes at times.

Mainly use graphite on my Mits.

I find slower rates in H13, O1 type steels than the usual P20 steel for mould work.
