hi
we have bought an old starthole punching machine
WDS SB-1M
at first contact with the piece it makes a spark and that high note sound
and goes back up
what could be the problem ?
 
My old Current ST300 used to do that. Not sure about your machine, but on the Current, tripping (just tripping with your finger, not the actual ram) the Z axis limit switches used to cure that issue.
 
the lower z axis switch wasn't working , spring wasn't tense enough but i bend it a bit and now it works
sadly that didn't solved the problem
we have measured for short circuit , sadly we have one
and hard to figure where , we have no plan for electric panel
