What are some of the problems to look for with used EDM machines?
I halfway know what to look for with machine tools, like chipped gears, sloppy bushings/bearings, ham-fisted repairs, etc., but on EDM machines? Cleanliness is a sign, but what else?
The hair on the back of my neck stands up when I read, "plug cut, we've been told it runs, NO warranties." Where I work, that mean it is FUBAR.
Or trying to extract information from a seller who, when you read over the reply, tells you nothing other than nameplate data.
