Please advise me Wire EDM machine brand and Model for cutting high taper. Taper of this slot on example is 17 degree at highest point. Material is Inconel 718.

Hi donhan:
The best ones ever made for big tapers were the old tilt head Agie machines.
They don't make them anymore, but used ones are still available.

Having said that, 17 degrees is not that bad.
You could use any machine with a U and V axis capable of that much tilt.
Remember though that the height of the part influences the maximum taper angle any machine can cut.
This is because the U and V axis movement is limited and you have to move further on a taller part to get the same angle.
Many machines can only do 15 degrees.
Agie and Charmilles can do more on thin workpieces.
I don't know about other brands.
Cheers

Our old Charmilles Robofils could do a 30 deg at any Z height. As Marcus said, you need to carful on tall parts and reaching limits. Our Sodicks could do this part no problem. Sodick has a option called Taper Flex. It produces extremely accurate taper and 4 axis cuts. Being a plastic extrusion company we do a lot of steep 4 axis cuts up to 30 degs. We get very accurate results with this option.

Agie Charmilles can do up to 30 degree on the VP2 and on the CutP350 it can do 45 degree
