I have a Airco 300 amp heliwelder that is giving me some trouble .
While using the machine last week I noticed the torch/line was getting pretty warm. It turned out that water wasn't flowing through the water solenoid. Instead of connecting the two waterlines to bypass the the water solenoid, like an idiot I cut the wires going to the water solenoid and connected them together.
The long and short of it is now I have no power going to either the gas or water(this as since been properly bypassed) solenoids. As a result I have no gas flow through the solenoid /torch.
I removed the covers and it's SUPER dusty inside.. according to the date on the schematics the machine was made in 1978.
I've been using the hell out of this machine for 5 years without a problem.
Any suggestions as to what I shorted out??
