Guess I would make it key and or pin together with puddle groves and of welded stainless so not affected by a weld crack...yes someone needed who knows how to do a proper job of welding SS...not me. Our weld guy says to weld from two directions so to avoid future cracking.. Old blacksmith guy I knew said to make welds not straight but in an arc when you can and cover with ashes or a snip of a fire blanket to cool slowley

Oh, post 58 job looks done, good job looks heavy enough to be safe.

Driven a little bayliner recently ? You can leave the wheel on a tug and it'll keep going where you headed, at least long enough to take a pee and haul in the fenders. Point your eyes at the label on a coke bottle on the bayliner and it's headed to Ozztralia, with a side trip to Tierra del Fuego. It's even worse at 4 mph, idling around a strange harbor, looking for the fuel dock or whatever. The thing drives like a pig. That's her new name, "Little Pig."

Or did you mean the helpful marinas ? Port of Bellingham is computerized, like Burger King with color-coded touchscreen labels. I can see over a thousand feet of empty side-tie floats but "Nope, sorry, nothing for 26 or 30', all full up." Hate to say this but to me "helpful and friendly" means "solves problems", not "Says no with a smile and wishes you 'have a good rest of your day !'."

Seriously, I will be so happy to leave this shithole country behind.

    Entirely unnecessary.
