Best Air compressor for Hypertherm PM 65

Im in the process of building a cnc plasma table , and y have the powermax 65 plasma machine , i have the choice of 2 air compressors

One 10 hp 2 stage

or a 7.5 HP (oil less :S )

the 10 hp is cheaper but im afriaed of the electricity bill it might come with...

Should i look at Rotary screw type compressors?

Yes, look for a rotary screw - especially an efficient modern one - I've had great luck with Kaeser. For plasma you'll want a dryer as well.

I love Kaeser compressors, and flat hate I/R.
We have operated several of both over the years and found Kaeser to be light years ahead of I/R in all respects.
That said are you using other air for other equipment/machines at the same time as a 7 plus horse power is way overkill for a Hypertherm 65 only.

I'm planning in using a haas cnc mill plus a variety of other machines that need air , plus over kill is the only way I know

Little update , I did buy a Kaeser 7.5 HP Aircenter . So pleased.
