Hi All,
First post. Great forum, very knowledgable community.
I picked-up an ESAB PCM-875 at auction, and it turns out to be a 3PH 400/460V. If read a few posts here debating whether it is possible to convert to 1PH 230V, but the discussions where not conclusive.
After reviewing the wiring diagrams it appears the 3PH machine has a single 1200V 200A IGBT, where the 1PH machine has two 1600V 100A IGBTs.
Has anyone converted one successfully, or would the better option be to setup a RPC and a step-up transformer?
thanks!
