Had to attach a dozen small tabs in a precise location.
A small all steel c-clamp would have worked.
If I slipped with the puddle(mig)then I would have had to carefully extract said clamp from the part.
Attached is a pic of a modification I did to a spring clamp rod.
Particular threaded rod is 3/8-24, mig tip is 1/4" od
I drilled a 1/4" hole in the end 1/3 distance of the length of a mig gun tip
Tapped in place threaded end first
Helped me prevent from welding the clamp tip to the work, and its cheaply replaceable
