I have a very old oxy/acetylene torch that a friend gave me years ago. It came with a nice small tip with a ~.03" opening which is great for small stuff but I'd like to get a bigger tip for larger work.

The torch handle has a female thread which appears to be 5/8"-24 and the tip has a loose nut with matching threads. There is no manufacturer's name on either the handle or the tip. After an hour of digging through catalogs I haven't been able to find a similar style.

Does anyone know if tips in this style are available anywhere?

Thanks

I would say finding a new one of those off the shelf would be rare. I would scour ebay or even grab a newer torch that you can get tips for...Bob

Looks like a Victor to me. I have several Victor Journeymen sets and it looks like them. Victor makes smaller hobby sets too so check both.

If you cant find the right tip maybe you can unscrew the tip from the base:

I have done this in the past when I had an odd torch and wanted to use a tip from my other set. Luckily both sets would screw into the same base.;)
