Lens shade Plasma Cutting

Never thought of that. I have a good quality one ($650cdn) if that means anything. But I shall try it.

Assuming your talking about a plasma hand held torch, then if your line of sight is looking directly at the top of your plasma torch when your cutting and this obstructs the plasma arc from your view then you could get by with a #2 lens. If at anytime you actually see the plasma arc then you may want to jump up in shade, Miller electric has a shade recommendation for plasma based on amperage. Most times the shade starts at #6 and go up from there.

I look directly at the arc to see the lines I have drawn. I should stick to the #4. If I use a light on my work it is easier to see the lines. 6A700D90-E4D4-49E7-88F7-516A71B8C1A5.jpg

White paint pens fluoresce under the UV light from the arc. That makes it way easier to see the line with the appropriate dark shades.
