Im looking at a used lincoln stt 2 welder with the stt 10 feeder used at my local welding store it seems like a reasonable price they are asking but I wouldn't be using to its capabilities very often at all. mainly just a straight wire, shop welder and I can't find any information on how it welds in normal welding.
I mainly use a idealarc 400 with an ln 8 feeder but Im tired of switching wires when I want to weld something thinner than .25. anyone use one of these and like it? their selling it for about than the cost of the feeder used on eBay.

Do you have 3 phase power? Its listed as a 3 phase machine. Stt's claim to fame is for open root pipe welding. They say it works good on thinner material aswell. A call to lincoln tech support might give you some more info on it. What about a dual feeder for the machine you have?
