We have a 40ton LVD press brake that is overbending parts, I beleive this started after it was crashed. Any help where to start looking to solve this problem?

A little more info would be great. If you are saying that you had pre programed files that are now overbending, I would speculate that in the machine parameters, your ram depth offset somehow changed. Somehow could include a recent power outage or any other instance of rebooting the controller. On my Accurpress controller, there is a data entry point marked "Ram Anticipation" that can be used to correct the errant parameter. You maybe can try re-calibrating the ram, or check the owners manual for the actual offset as recorded by the commishioning mechanic and then comparing it to the current setting.

Get a big angle grinder and grind the punch until all is well. Or tell us what the crash was. What was replaced?
Just need material type and thickness.
Punch type with nose radius.
Die type with opening, open angle and related radius.
Assuming air bending? Bottom bending or coining?
If the crash exploded a die then maybe the new die is a different "height" because it is not worn out?
