    Default Question on Esab 253

d4196645-3680-4287-b739-3bf288c4254c.jpgd4196645-3680-4287-b739-3bf288c4254c.jpgI have been trying to get a manual online from Esab’ site. They offer nothing on the 253 I need to know what the control knob reading from O-10 with several dots beside. I suspect it a pulse feature but I don’t know how to use it. Also I wanted to put a smaller reel of wire on it but could not remove the large spindle. Can anyone shed some light on the 253. Is it Esab’s entry level machine? You guys are awesome with such a large knowledge base.

Post a picture of the whole front panel with all the controls.

It looks like the lower knob is wire speed and the upper could be pulse, spot or stitch weld timing. Need more visual for more info...

    Good luck,
    Matt

Maybe that control is for spray weld? Does anyone have a 253 out there?

    "Turn the knob 1/2 way".
    See what it does.

Grind it all off and try again, that's a mess, with a side of porosity.
