I was just looking at the Collets and Collet Bodies for my CK Tig torch and wondered what type of copper alloy they're made from. It doesn't really look like pure copper. Anybody know?
I would bet its just 110 copper, just plain cu. BeCu collets would be much more than a couple of bucks each due to the extra environmental costs of machining Be containing metals.
CK makes their collets out of some sort of brass as well as some of the other components. You could always call them and ask them. Seems like they are pretty nice people.
