Hello! Does anyone also encountered when a machine's lithium battery is always, frequently or easily gets low power? Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

We have a turret machine, a PoNZ FC 1250E-32 2.5, where the battery for its X&Y axis easily gets low power. We have replaced the battery, several times already but the two sets recent replacement battery (6V) did not last for a month.

Steps we conducted so far:
1. Rebooting the turret machine, resetting the clamps. Which temporarily fixes the alarm.
2. Replaced the battery set, twice in less than two months. Battery set is rated at 6Vdc (4pc - panasonic lithium batteries).
3. Reported to our tech, but no clear solution after the 2nd battery replacement.

Battery is "low", just puts shims under it?

Lithiums are "secondary" cells as a general class. Meaning they expect to be recharged, not used-up and discarded.

"From a distance", EITHER/BOTH:

- whatever is MEANT to be recharging it whilst running is not.

- there is more drain on it when idle than planned-for.

The second one is the more likely.

Not ALL Lithiums are in a circuit with charging capability if the drain is so low they last a long time.

Dunno how hard it is for YOUR "Tech" to find an excessive drain and sort the cause.

My experience in the Philippines was mostly with PLDT & ETPI. Both of them surely had smart enough folks. So should your firm. No shortage. Y'all export good techs!

If changing batteries doesn't work? Try changing the tech.

Sorry, but i did not understand this.

IMO, changing the batteries would definitely not work, but we still proceeded as suggested by the tech.

And i am looking forward to working with a new tech. :D
