Linde VI-400 welder

I have an old Linde VI-400 welder with Linde wire feeder. Cannot find a model number on the wire feeder. The wire feeder has stopped working - wires are completely chewed by mice and every electrical component is corroded - I'm actually amazed it has worked this long. I'm trying to find another wire feeder that will work for it without spending a fortune. Any thoughts on where to look? I know very little about welders, so hoping for something I could just plug into the welder and go.

Alternatively, I could sell the Linde and just buy a small, newer welder. I have no need for anything this big. Not sure what I could get for the welder by itself or the best place to post it.

Thanks for any help. I don't see how to add photos...?IMG_20220119_180954323_copy_2048x1536.jpgIMG_20220119_181001680_copy_2048x1536.jpgIMG_20220119_181007720_copy_2048x1536.jpgIMG_20220119_181011692_copy_2048x1536.jpgIMG_20220119_181028022_copy_1536x2048.jpg

Just buy a Miller or Lincoln wire feeder and make up the wiring to the connectors.

Unfortunately, the VI 400 is not worth much without a working feeder, The 3 phase input limits it's resale marketability. I have seen them at auctions for a couple hundred bucks. That said there a very good CV power source. You could repair the feeder you have or pick up a Linde 35 feeder, it will wire up to your VI.
The 35 are pretty cheap and a decent feeder. Other manufacturers feeders can be retrofit to the VI, but the VI supplies DC to drive the feeder motor. So depending upon the feeder you could be adding transformers, relays, etc to interface them.

Huh....So my SVI-400 runs my miller s-54 wire feeder just fine.....:skep:
No xformers relays etc.

Did you ever find another feeder? Dragged a couple of VI400s home from an auction a while back, one with a SWM-35 feeder and one with a MIG-35 feeder and haven't had any luck selling them together, so the power supplies will probably end up going to scrap and I will sell the feeders separately.
