The "in house" selection is pretty pitiful. To do a custom, like the mill I just did, you need a small image from the web somewhere. Needs to be 48 pixels square to not have distortion.

Go to "edit profile" to do it.

Interested in opinions on this...too cluttered, too cute, too ??

Oops...I thought it automatically reduced it to 48...will check further...

on edit- I forgot to force it. Now it's set for 60 pixels square...looks like a good compromise for now.

Looks good. I wanted to mention that it appeared that the size was not regulated, good catch.

I think it will work out fine. Kinda neat.

I like the avatars. I've seen some very creative ones and it can be kind of fun. I'm having trouble setting the custom URL for my own avatar. I can get the URL in the right spot, but the avatar doesn't show yet. Any help?

Dave K - once you enter in the URL you have to hit the 'set url' button, then the 'select this avatar' button.

Don, is that the girlie who owns the deckel? Finally a woman who understands!
