Cadillac Height Gage ?????

I just picked up a used 12" Cadillac height gage and was trying to find an owners manual or instructions for proper use and calibration. Any help that the trained machinists of the world can supply would be greatly appreciated.

Please don't think you're being ignored, I have several of these made by B&S (Hite-Icators)and I have never seen an instruction sheet.

I have not had to adjust one yet but I assume there is a way to raise/lower the block stack as a unit to set the height from the surface plate. I verify mine with gage blocks when I first set it on the plate. After that, it's gospel. -Mike
