'been tinkering w/ a cheap digi caliper's spc jack.

the jaws are worn from abuse ( my mti's still pretty + clean) , and i'm wondering if there's
any other useful application for this once $9.99
flea market special.

has anyone used it as a remote for a machine -mounted ,similar scale.... can two scales
interface thru the 4-pin port(negV,data,clock,posV)...is this possible?
or would that destroy both tools? or is another
device required between the two readers...

otherwise, it'll make a fine quill-DRO for my mill.

"DRO:int4 is an interface kit that makes a flexible DRO (Digital Read-Out) out of an old PC and cheap Chinese digital scales or.
The DRO system can be used for a mill, a lathe or any tool machine that needs accurate positioning.
The interface connects through a serial connection (RS 232) to a PC or laptop that is used as a display."
