Hi all,
I am looking for any info and would like to buy a manual for an Economaster S-400-200-1000 gearhead lathe.
Can anyone help me or suggest where to look.
If anyone has a manual I would gladly pay to have it copied.

Thanks,Paul

I know this is a crypto post,

But I just bought an Economaster S400, so I thought I would share.

I have a partial English manual and a partial Portuguese manual. The Portuguese manual Section I actually got from Romi’s parts/engineering department in Kentucky. The drawing Page numbers don’t exactly match my book, but so far the part numbers line up. Economaster is a Romi brand, and they are still around. You can also look into “Imor” and “Romi Torno S400”. You will find a lot of Portuguese sites.

These machines are made in Brazil with American Timken bearings. To be honest from a refurbishing standpoint I am enjoying working with this lathe way more than the newer Kingstons (2000’s models) at work, but I’ve only made it through the headstock so far.

Romi has been super helpful so far, I’m pretty impressed with the service compared even to DMG Mori and local Kingston (though the Kingston parts guy in California does a pretty good job).

Good luck, fellow Economaster owners!
