    Default Little Giant Part #

    If anyone is interested, I have just installed a Little Giant pump in my harig 6x12. It puts out 4 pounds of pressure and works great, also fits in the well with the original filter and flow control valve.
    While I was in there I also replaced the plastic oil lines, which were hard and dis-colored.
    The model# was NK-2, 1/40HP, 325 GPH @ 1' of Head. 115VAC (can also get 220) 1.7Amps, Weight 4.5, Height 4.56, Length 4.13.
    I have recently moved this machine to my home shop, and converted the 440VAC motor to a 3/4 HP, Balanced single phase motor. That is why I installed the 115VAC oil pump to match the voltage.
    The machine runs as good as before, nice and smooth.

    Fyi;
    I use a little giant 1-EAYS 110v pump from Zoro, appears to work fine. Takes about a minute for the oil to rise to the glass. I give it 5 minutes to be sure oil is flowing to the carriage before turning on the grinder. I wired the pump and a 220v Teco vfd (fm50) to the main switch and just wait to kick on the vfd till the oil is up.
    Had to replace the hoses and hose fittings going into the sump to get it to work. They were 1/8", replaced with 1/4" clear vinyl .17"id from home depot. The original filter / flow valve assembly fit just fine on the pump. Removed the front dust cover to install vertical hose.
    I've never had issue with the oil gelling, I'm in Maine, grinders in the garage.
    Vactra way oil No 2
    Little giant pump 1-EAYS - solvent pump 3ft 140gph 110

    Am new to this sort of thing, suspect the NK-2 is a stronger pump.
