Air dryer -- cycling vs. non-cycling, other?

I am in the market for an air dryer, and would like to find out what opinions there are regarding:

1. Cycling vs. non-cycling air dryers, what pros and cons anyone has seen.

2. Whether there is any issue with matching an air dryer capacity closely to rated CFM output of compressor, or whether over-capacity in the air dryer is fine.

3. Any brand preferences for longevity and value for $$$.

what CFM?

I put a 10CFM speedair on my Type 30 compressor.

I re-wired the pressure switch to turn on the the dryer and a time delay box to turn on a motor starter relay. This way the dryer has about 60 seconds to turn on and cool its coils before the compressor starts up. It works fantastically.
