Just a tip I figured I’d share. If it’s common knowledge, I apologize.
I used to go around to shops and get their cutters and inserts that were packed tight with aluminum that’s impossible to manually remove.
If you have some in this condition, rather than tossing them, drop them in some sodium hydroxide (AKA lye) for 20 minutes and it will completely dissolve the aluminum leaving the cutter looking new, and back to performing like it did.
HOWEVER, do this outdoors, with proper PPE. Don’t be breathing it in, drinking it, or playing in it.
