Bearings for HLVH spindle motor

Can anyone give me some help or advice about changing the bearings on a HLVH main motor? This would be the most expensive 1/.5 HP motor I have ever cracked open. (Hardinge current price is $6,141.00 plus freight) So I'm guessing there's more than two bearings and a rotor in this thing.

My guess is it's a derated five or ten hp frame with bearings equivalent to a high quality spindle and all finely balanced. Alternatively, can anyone recommend a motor shop in San Diego area that would be qualified to work on this thing if it gets high tech complicated?

Thanks
Rick

Rick,
This past winter I replaced both bearings in my 1976 HLV-H motor. I noticed nothing out of ordinary when I took it apart. I replaced it with the same numbered bearing as I took out. Bought replacements from McMaster Carr as I felt I could trust their quality.
