Belt for Sunnen MA hone?

Does anyone know of a source for the drive belt on a Sunnen model MA hone? Sunnen is of no help as the machine is 70 years old. The belt is flat and made of mostly cloth. As the belt has to slip when the foot pedal is released, I am not sure if I could find a rubber belt of the correct dimensions it would even work. Is it the same belt as a later model Sunnen?

Traditional machine drive leather belting, make to size using metalic lacing....

you can make one up from a serpentine belt, get a used one from a mechanic. Cut to length, scarf the joint and glue

Take the old belt to an auto supply and buy a serpentine belt the same length, turn in inside out and you have a flat belt.

I did what Ed suggested. However, they are available from Goodson.com, search Rod Hone Flat Belts.

I checked with Goodson. They want $112 for the belt! Look like an auto belt is my only other option.

McMaster-Carr is your friend. I have bought flat belts from them for my wood shapers and model T's. They will make them to any length you need.
