Hello all,
I'm new to machining in general and have a concept question about the best way to proceed. Let's say you have a 12 x 12 x 0.375 inch piece of delrin. Let's say you also have a 12 x 12 x 0.063 inch piece of aluminum 5052. The aluminum is supposed to mount directly on top of the derlin and be flush on all sides. The metal actually hangs over the sides. What would be the best way to trim the aluminum to fit exactly on the delrin if I wanted both pieces to look good in the end? The metal will be mounted directly on top but will be powdercoated.
