Bridgeport Heidenhain DRO VRZ 731 HELP

Hi,

I was working on the mill and all of a sudden the display figures disappeared to this (Screenshot below).

I have made some tests and without the readers connecting the display is still the same. any suggestions please ? The manual is quite vauge. Thanks !

Disconnect power for 5 minutes then try again. I am assuming there is no battery back-up in this unit.
Are the displays normal brilliance? The most common electronic failure in these units is the power supply, actually the capacitors in the power supply circuit. This tends to cause counting and display issues.

Hi Keith,

My Heidenhain unit (exact same model) has turned up the very same fault as yours. Did you manage to resolve your issue, if so did you find out what the fault is?

sometimes it helps to leave the unit connected for a longer period of time, like several days. supposedly the caps recover.
