Just finished measuring the 2x cams that I have, the Standard RH 2 Flute cam (2) and the RH Step Drill Cam (6)

Measured on a rotary table with cam rotating Clockwise when viewed from above. '0' angle is at the index pin.
10 Degree increments, dropping to 5 degree at the critical transitions.

Pictures of setup, cams and graphs of the plotted data below.
Best Regards,
Howie.

I would be interested in the same form of data for:-

Cam 4 Green, 180 degree (Only) point angel
Cam 6 Green, Pilot Drills of any angle

If someone can do the measuring and PM me, I can produce the fancy graphs to upload.
Although I'm looking for cams 4 & 6, any would be good just for completeness.
I can work with mm or inch :)
Thanks in advance
Howie.

You show data for a cam 6 then ask for data on a 6????

What size ball/tip did you use on your indicator?

I have a #2 cam RH
I also have a #8

Has there been multiple numbering methods used?

Sorry, it was late when posted.
You are correct I have the 6 :D

It was the 4 I wanted , 180 Degree Point Angle.

If you would have a chance to measure the 8 that would be great.
This is the 4 Flute Tap & Core Drills.

I've just added a couple of sections from my manual, that shows the Cam names.

I don't know if it's intentional, but in both the LH & RH versions of the Special Point Plastic Cams, these seem to have duplicate numbers to the Pilot Drill Cams.

Regards,
Howie

Regarding my above post #5
The cam thickness at 0/360 deg is 0.450
All of the measurements of cam movement were only the changes from the original zero reference

Did you get more cam info?
I am busy buy a very old unit with 4 jaw chuck.
I got a pdf manual of ZB25/32, if that will help someone
Regards from South Africa

Thanks mjk for the data on Cam 8. It's been a while but I've put together the graph as a representation of what it looks like, plus a net sourced picture of a No. 8 cam. Obviously plotted showing heights in fractions of an Inch.

No. 8 Green (RH use) 4 Flute TAP and CORE DRILLS
