I need to order a 10 ton capacity C press for a swaging operation coming up. I have 500 parts and hopefully will turn into a longer term job. I've never set something like this up before. I have drawings for the dies for it but as far as the press and how to power it I need some ideas. Here are a couple links to C presses that would work. But how to power. Attached is screenshot also.

Enerpac/OTC/Simplex stuff is 10,000 psi and each vendor has several pumps
available.

I like the small "shoebox" air powered pumps (usually have a foot treadle valve
on the top).

I would go with the 30 ton unit?

The hydraulic presses could be fine for low production. There was a time I was doing high production of swaged aircraft cables for the oil industry and I would have gotten old waiting for the hydraulics to go up and down. Instead I bought a 12 ton air toggle press used an Aro control for up and down controls with a foot pedal. The press had an adjustable stroke, so you could hold the cable in position safely next to the dies without guards. Average cable was about a foot long and we used about probably more than 50 miles of cable.

The press I used was RMT from Foremost Equipment, not sure if they are still available.
