I have recently bought a machinist vise on a swivel base at an auction. The vise came with custom made oversized aluminium soft jaws. I have looked around and it would seem the standard Bolt Center Distance is 3.875". However my vise is closer to 4.2". Does anyone know where I can find some jaws for my vise?

Its a vise. Use it to make some jaws. Not like you are going to ruin anything on the vise - assuming you don't clamp down on chips or the like.

A good thing to get used to when you want to own oddball stuff - replace the "find" concept with "make"

Vise jaws need be set true to the jaw pocket bottom. If the vise is threaded the bolt holes can be some oversized so the jaw may be knocked down tight.
If the thread is in the jaw then the vise holes are a little big so again the jaw can seat at the bottom.
Often a little bevel is at the bottom inside corner, perhaps 1/16 x 45*
