Hi All,

Hi All,

My Lathe came with the following change wheels:

65 Tooth
75 Tooth
80 Tooth
85 Tooth
115 Tooth
120 Tooth

These seem different from the non-Yuasa TSL machine which has:

30, 50, 62, 75, 80, 85, 95, 120, and 127 teeth. Can someone help?

Thanks

Ray

Missing the 127. It and the 120 make the compound allowing a metric screw to cut Imperial and vice versa

The others just give different "ranges" of what is possible

My Taki/Yuasa TSL-1000 came with a 65,66,95 gears for metric threading. I added a 40, 60 and a custom made 102 for inch threading. Not sure how a 127 would work on this lathe.

You are getting a conversion that is off by about -0.00062" per revolution of the lead screw. 66/65 = 1.01538 compared to 127/125 = 1.016

Does anyone know what the DP and pressure angle of the change gears for a takisawa talk or a lead on a 85 tooth gear.

I know this is an old thread but does anyone know what gear combination on this machine would give a 13 TPI? I have 10 gears that came with the machine when purchased new in '86. I have made one to complete the stock set (it got lost). There are also 115, 60, and 65 teeth gears that don't show on the threading plate. Thanks

Hi all I am new to the forum I have bought a Tak TSL-1000D but didn't get any changes
Gears with the lathe I have been thinking of having some machined but don't know what module they are.
