Default chrome moly vs 304 stainless

I've cut a bunch of 304 and am about to do a pretty small run of stuff in chrome moly. Is using my numbers from 304 going to give me a pretty conservative place to work from? I'm under the impression this stuff cuts easier than 304

It depends on what type of chrome-moly. If it's 41L40, absolutely.
There are way too many chrome-moly alloys to give a concise answer without knowing the exact makeup and condition.
