Default Chromed cobalt ring.... turn with carbide insert work ?

Ring (as in one that goes on a human finger) is too thick for comfort.... also too shiny....wonder what the result would be to turn it a bit thinner ?

    I.D. or O.D. ?

I originally thought you wanted to bore it out.

How about just a simple spring loaded "brake hone" in a hand drill or DP ?

A quick Google search says Cr-Co is also called Stellite. Yep, I've machined it with carbide.
