HI ALL.

We are having one clandon metascope,Any one having working experience with such machine's. Atleast help with manual

I have two of them, but only experimented with them, never used in earnest. Pretty straightforward - just lets you see the emitted spectrum and measure the wavelength. Easy to calibrate using the sodium D lines:

Sodium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The thin glass window that the light enters by can be replaced when broken by microscope slide 'cover slips'

thank you sir for your input,

this machine we have taken recently, But we dont know how to use his machine , But its working condition,It's sparking at the end and showing some light bands through eye piece. I have searched Google but information not yielded from site,Can you help me with manual. my mail id is "[email protected]"

Here is the manual https://www.dropbox.com/s/fyeyydbpxsu9opn/metascope1.pdf

Here is a scan of the three tables.. They are big long sheets and I could only scan one page at a time. So they are all over lapped by a big degree so all the info is there... If someone has lots of time on their hands they could cut and conjoin the pages to make one again.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/fyeyydbpxsu9opn/metascope1.pdf

Generally what you do is first find the sodium band... It is the brightest orange band you will find... If the dial is calibrated properly it is #10 on the dial... From info I have gathered to use these devices properly you need to be trained and generally doing it all the time so you get an eye for what you are looking at.. They are fully obsolete items since X-Ray florescence devices came into the affordable range for industry... Mine came with a box full of known samples of various steels..
