Hello guys,
I bought myselve a lathe last month.
It is a colchester triumph 7 1/2" lathe

I am having problems with the automatic feed of the carriage.
I opened the gearbox from the automatic gears and found out that the axle where the idler sprocket who chooses the gears is tensioning into the tube where in witch the bearing is mounted.
This caused the main small driving gear to fail.

this is why I want to disassemble the whole axle shaft bearing thing with the idler sprocket.
I am having problems to figure out how the red idler sprocket assembly (red box) is bonded onto the tube in witch the axle runs ( green box)
Does anyone have any experience in disassembling this part of the lathe ?

Thanks
Greetings

You have whats called a roundhead Triumph.......an early one too ,by the sliding feed lever on the apron........The mechanism is near identical to the smaller Student and Master roundhead models, and there are plenty of manuals /parts books online..........Before I go any further note the following.........NEVER use a bed stop with the early type feed, the levers dont kick out, they get tighter, and you will bust the feed if you use a bed stop..........EDIT.....i went looking for the parts list, then I remembered ,the one I have is on DVD,and I no longer have a laptop that can handle a full size dvd......anyhoo,download the list for a Student, its the same.
