Morning guys,
I have made a small punch and die tool which punches washers from 3mm thick mild steel.
However i am having a problem where the centre hole goes tapered when the outer hole is pierced.
I am believe this is due to the wall thickness of the washer. It is 14.80mm OD and 8.65mm ID, which only leave a 3mm wall.
Unfortunately the dimensions have to be these sizes for the washer to function.
Is here some trick i dont about to help with this? Can putting a shear angle on the die or punch help?
Any tips would be welcome.
