control advice

I have a small shop with one mazak QT8 t32 and two miyano tsv verticals with fanuc 0m controls. While the 0m units work just fine they are slow with the lack of look ahead. I have been trying to find some information about different control series speeds but such information is difficult to find for machines I have been looking at. Are the Fanuc 16, 18, 21 series much quicker or is advance look ahead options a must. Honestly I'm interested in any control brand that will speed things up for me. Right now I'm stuck with a maximum of 20IPM feeds contouring with posts from fusion 360. The biggest problem I think is that my budget for another machine is only 18-20K which puts me in the late 90's or early 00's. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.
