QT:[ In other words if we had started ten weeks ago we would be done now:]

When some at the top (dopes) were still saying Go Party. Go to spring break. Go to New Orleans.

My daughter and family went to Florida on that dumb advice. She and my grand daughter got a flu and we were worried sick.

Not giving credit or fault, so much as trying to say what were the practical options at the time. If Trump had taken drastic measures, they would have said he was trying to "distract" the country from the Impeachment, which was the only story at the end of January.

At some point I think people will come to the realization that there was no stopping this bug once it escaped Wuhan. Middle of January, it was inevitable. Impacts may vary, but no country was going to be spared.

It's just too contagious, and was already too wide spread before anyone even admitted it human transmission was happening.

It was G*d's will. Don't think, don't fight it. Just let it happen.

Golly, it's like the Taiwans and Singapores don't exist.

I won't name the dopes who were saying such things but you can search them on google.

Farming is not in any way shape or form affected. I can still go to TSC and get parts. I can still go to the JD dealer and get parts. The farmers are out working their fields.

I mean, I guess if they needed something form Pier 1 imports for the cab of their tractor, they'd be fucked...but most of the farmers I know will get by without a throw pillow that matches their outfit.
Some voices are calling for a nation wide shelter in place by mandate.

That action does not resemble curve flattening.

Things aren't looking good for Sweden as they've been doing "Let's see how things go" too long. It looks as if numbers will accelerate.
Sweden 6,558 infected and 391 deaths.

Norway 5,644 infected and 62 deaths.
sweden looks quite alright to me as the numbers are on the decline

An excuse is just that. Masturbating over past events..

    Not a solution, going forward.

Over-done, and it is BEING over-done, it delays, distracts, diverts resources, otherwise interferes with seeking solutions, sooner, rather than too-later.

Not new, the winning way to deal with crisis:

Lead, follow, or get out of the way!

And once again the man spouts the same lies. He never said he DID grab them by the pussy. He said CAN grab them by the pussy. The difference is apparently unable to be understood by some brains. It would however be critical in a court of law. The first case is a confession, the second speculation as in "locker room" talk.

This is part of the actual transcript.

Trump: "And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything."

    Bush: "Whatever you want."

Trump: "Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything."

US election: Full transcript of Donald Trump's obscene videotape - BBC News

No one ever said the man was a paragon of virtue. That puts him in the same league with the Kennedys, Lyndon Johnson, Bill Clinton, and many other powerful men. Women Do throw themselves at them, just ask any rock star or Hollywood heart throb.

What he actually confessed to was KISSING women without waiting for permission. He also admitted to trying to bed women and failing. That hardly sounds like the rapist the left's media tried to portray this tape as evidence of.

    But all that aside ....

The left is often concerned with sexual morality when it's about the opposition. When it's their own guys they easily excuse it from a President getting blow jobs in the White House from a teenage intern to the guy who's been filmed dozens of times putting his hands on teenage girls and nuzzling up to them while sniffing their hair. Two sets of rules but that's how they approach EVERYTHING in life.

And when Milland says "we" elected him he's full of shit because damn certain neither he nor any of the other Trump haters here ever cast a vote for Trump. It was the other approximately 50% of those who voted that did that and my bet is that most will do so again.

I'm just not sure where in the Constitution of the United States does it read that "The President is responsible for the protection of all the inhabitants of this continent from virus afflictions."

Perhaps it is an expectation only. An expectation held by some more than by others.

I blame the blamers, they are not helping in any way.

You dismiss it out of hand, just because you don't like where it came from. All we hear on these threads is how Trump "failed to respond", "ignored the warnings". Yet here is a warning to Coumo, from their own health dept. I guess that's somehow different? Shoe on the other foot?

Exposing the hypocrisy? I call that turnabout is fair play.

    Here's a couple:

Jan 26. "Morning Joe". MSNBC health expert on the coronavirus. "Not a threat, nothing Americans should be worrying about."

Feb 4, Trump. SOTU, He was paying attention.

    Pelosi tore up the speech.

Feb 10. MSNBC. An Interview with Bill de Blasio. He described Coronavirus threat-

February 19. Nevada Democratic Primary Debate, NBC. Do you know how many questions about the Coronavirus outbreak were asked in that debate? None. Zero. Completely off the radar. I haven't gone through the other transcripts, but I will bet the South Carolina debate was the same.

February 24. Nancy Pelosi does a PR spot for San Francisco, NBC. In front of the camera, crowd of people packed around her.

There are countless examples of the left's hypocrisy, it's all on tape FFS. This is just a tiny sample.

That's not saying they were intentionally misrepresenting the threat- the information that EVERYONE was working from, was the information that came out of China.

The hypocrisy is politicizing the virus now, and pretending that they weren't saying the same thing that Trump was saying at the time.
i don't care what pelosi or msnbc say.
    they are not in charge.
the buck does not stop with them.
it stops with the guy that takes the decisions.
the guy in the white house.

We're at 8500 dead to CV, 26 per million. We are expecting 100K if we are lucky. So in 3 months, with everything shut down, CV could still kill nearly twice as many Americans as flu and pneumonia in an entire year.

Italy lost something like 60 doctors in 2 months. That's not something you normally see with flu bugs.
those doctors did die, that is a fact
now show me where it states that they died from covid 19
