Covid 19 ventilators

Machinists around the world need to make public health officials realize they're almost sitting on thousands of ventilators. Italy and Brazil in particular are among those in a state of emergency over lack of ventilators.These are now emergency war time measures in regards to this situation. You can't be picky if you need to breathe. Almost any CNC machine can be programmed to actually operate a bellows any way it needs. Bellows are easy to make and rig. Drill cycle type programming on mills and modified tapping cycles on lathes could easily operate bellows in a superior manor than ventilators themselves. Instead of moving medical facilities to tents they need to move them to industrial plants that have hundreds of CNC machines in many cases. Very unconventional but this is an emergency situation. Time to get inventive folks. We need to use what we have.
