    Default D1 to A1 series chuck adapter

    Does anyone make such an animal? Looking for a D1-4 to A1-6. Spindle to chuck adapter.

    I would think it would be easy to make one out of a d1-4 back plate or? Just turn the A1-6 taper and drill& tap some bolt holes to avoid the D1-4 pins.
    I did an A1-6 chuck converted to Di-6, even easier,since it had the same taper, just had to drill the chuck for the D pins.

    The trick is to miss other "holes"

    A1 - 6 has BOTH bolt circles that are 5 1/4 AND 3 1/4 - three jaw likely to use the 3 1/4

    D1 - 4" ALSO has 3 1/4 B.C. - complicated by the three adjacent lock screw holes for the cam or lock pins

    The trick of course is to have a THICK enough back plate to accommodate
