I want to build a die to form the dish in attached picture. Material will be .05 brass .375 wide. If I cut them on the edm clearance will be about .0175 per side. Pretty sure that is not nearly enough how much should it be? Obviously corners will need to be radiused. Can this be done with one shot?
Thanks
Bob

PS Termite please don't respond with how Herr Putz taught you to do it.

One shot will depend on tonnage available. What will the width of your punched blank be (how wide will the skeleton be)?

If they don't have the tonnage, they can always put a sheer angle on it and that will reduce the tonnage needed to hit it one hit.

As for the clearance 10% of material thickness is usually the cutting clearance, though some material has more or less.
