Different types of feed controls, on a manual / semiCNC lathe

Hey!
I've tried out a lot of different types of lathes during the last years and I've fallen in love with the "+" style of feed control on the carriage.
I am not sure what you call the type of control, but almost every Trens and TOS lathe have it. it has a cross or + shaped faceplate with a single lever that you can push in the direction you want the carriage to move.

I've noticed that also several Russian lathes have it, and the Colchester Mascot 2000 has it. Does anyone know what the name for that kind of control is called?

is there any other feed controls that behave the same way? with the same kind of ease and simplicity?
